These terms describe what you get when you download or use a Friendmode resource, what we expect from you in return, and where the limits of our responsibility sit. They apply to the free starter kit, the paid module packs, and the private community board that comes with a purchase.
Friendmode publishes modular toolkits for independent studios, freelancers, and small teams: reusable project templates, client intake forms, invoicing checklists, brand asset organizers, and feedback trackers. Each resource is delivered as a practical file or a lightweight app, together with plain-language setup notes. Some modules are free, including the starter kit. Others are released as paid packs. We add new packs on a monthly basis.
When you obtain a resource from us, you receive a non-exclusive right to use it in your own studio work and in client projects you run. You may adapt the files to your own workflow, rename fields, and adjust the structure. You may not resell a resource as-is, redistribute it as your own product, or publish it as a competing template library. If you work with subcontractors, they may use the files inside a project you are responsible for, but the licence stays with you.
Use the resources lawfully and keep your own backups of anything you edit. You are responsible for the content you place inside the templates, for the accuracy of the information you send to your own clients, and for any agreement you make with them. If you open a request through our contact form, provide accurate details so we can route the right module recommendation back to you.
Buyers of a paid pack receive lifetime updates to that pack, meaning later revisions of the same files are made available to you at no additional cost. Access to the private community board is included with a purchase and is meant for exchanging workflow ideas between studios. We may adjust how the board is organized or moderated. We do not guarantee that any specific idea, thread, or file shared by another member will remain available.
The toolkits are practical working aids, not professional advice. We do not promise a particular business outcome, a specific time saving, or that a template will fit every studio's process. Friendmode is not liable for lost work, missed deadlines, client disputes, or indirect losses that arise from how you use a resource. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the pack in question.
You may stop using a resource at any time and delete your copies. We may suspend or end access to the community board if a member misuses it, for example by redistributing paid files or disrupting other members. Ending access to the board does not remove the licence you already hold for files you obtained legitimately.
We may revise these terms when the catalog changes or when we need to clarify a point. The current version is the one published on this page, and the date below shows when it was last updated. If a change materially affects buyers of a paid pack, we will note it on the site rather than quietly replacing the text.
